RESERVATIONS A 50% deposit is required to confirm and hold your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. One-night stays are welcomed, when available. The full nightly rate required for reservation. Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted. Please allow 24 hours for reservation processing and delivery of confirmation through email.
CANCELLATIONS Reservation deposits are refundable when cancellations are made fourteen days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations made within the fourteen days prior of the arrival date may forfeit the reservation deposit if dates cannot be rebooked. We will certainly try to re-fill the canceled dates and pass along the refunds to you if we do. All cancellations will assess a $25 fee per room.
GENERAL INFORMATION Check-in is from 2-4 pm. For late arrivals, instructions will be provided. Check-out is by 10 am. Rooms accommodate two people, no exceptions. Breakfast is included with the nightly rate. Breakfast is served from 7:30-10 am. Dinner is served from 4-9 pm. The Friar's Pub is open from 4 pm to approximately 10 pm seven days a week starting the Friday of Mothers' Day weekend. We will close for the season on the second weekend of November.
The Black Friar Inn is a nonsmoking B&B, there will be a $200 charge for smoking or vaping in any room. And sorry, no pets.
Balcony Room
A regal room with a king bed and private balcony. The bed has a built-in mantelpiece, the balcony is covered for rainy afternoons, and the fireplace is both warm and romantic. The bathroom has a classic claw foot tub shower. You are sure to relax after a day of exploring the Island and Acadia National Park. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. The stained glass windows give the room a rosy Medieval glow. The queen bed frame was specially built for the room, the wood ceiling and trim in the bathroom came out of a trolley car, that is why the ceiling has a graceful rounded curve to it.
